Mariya Y. Gortman, of the Denver/Reinholds area, was arrested after police arrived at the scene of a reported domestic dispute and "found evidence that she sprayed the victim in the face with an aerosol can and struck him several times with a piece of wood, causing injuries," East Cocalico Police state in the release.
The incident on Feb. 9 led to police charging Gortman with simple assault and harassment, according to court documents.
She was released on $25,000 unsecured bail, according to the police and court records.
"The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical treatment," police say.
Her preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge David L. Ashworth on Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m., according to her court docket.
